Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Family Medicine Physician to join our team at the Marion County Public Health Department. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting medical exams, and developing treatment plans to meet the unique needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages, including routine check-ups, vaccinations, and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Conduct thorough medical exams, including physical examinations and diagnostic tests, to identify and diagnose medical conditions.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient, taking into account their medical history, lifestyle, and personal preferences.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal health outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, guidelines, and best practices to provide evidence-based care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental performance.
Requirements
  • Medical degree from an accredited university in the US.
  • Completion of a residency in Family Medicine or combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics.
  • Current Indiana License as a Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.).
  • Federal Drug Enforcement Administration Registration (or be eligible to apply).
  • Knowledge of current recommendations of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) for vaccination of infants, children, and adults.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional medical journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, and policies.

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and deadlines. The ideal candidate will be able to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of productivity while providing excellent patient care.
