Job Summary:

The Substitute Nurse position is responsible for providing health services support to students in a school setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist Health Services staff with providing medical care and support to students
Escort and aid students on buses as needed
Consult with the District Nurse on various issues, including emergency situations and infectious diseases
Maintain confidentiality of student records and maintain medical emergency cards and health records
Perform record keeping and clerical functions, including scheduling and preparing written materials

Work Environment:

The Substitute Nurse will work in a school setting, with occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling required. The job requires 50% sitting, 10% walking, and 40% standing. The work environment is clean and minimal temperature variations are expected.
