Job Summary:

Houston Methodist is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Wellness Clinic Nurse. This role provides preventive health screenings, testing services, and routine, non-emergent healthcare for clients at our Wellness clinics throughout the Houston Methodist system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional nursing care to a diverse patient population, conducting nursing assessments, performing vaccinations, health education, and maintenance of medical records and files.
  • Collaborate with physicians and the interprofessional healthcare team to facilitate, coordinate, and maintain compassionate, efficient, quality care.
  • Identify and present areas for innovation, efficiency, and improvement in patient care, education, or unit operations using evidence-based practice literature.
  • Champion new care pathways or service line implementation to improve service to the community and/or clients.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations section.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Three years registered nurse experience in a healthcare environment.
  • RN-Temp - Registered Nurse - Temporary State Licensure within 60 days.
