High-Paying Med Surg RN Travel Nursing Opportunity in New York

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our travel nursing team for a 13-week assignment in Watertown, New York. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced RN to work in a fast-paced environment while enjoying the freedom of traveling across America.
About the AssignmentThis med surg travel nurse position requires a minimum of 1-2 years recent acute care experience. As a medical surgical RN, you will conduct patient assessments, prioritize data collection, and perform ongoing assessments and treatments as ordered by a physician. You will also document patient findings, provide education and support to patients' families, and participate in discharge planning.
Responsibilities- Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
- Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
- Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
- Prepare equipment and aid physicians during examination and treatment of patients.
- Educate patients on surgical procedures.
- Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed by physicians.
The ideal candidate will be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty, and easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds at times.
Requirements and Qualifications- BLS certification.
- At least 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
- Guaranteed pay: Many contracts allow hospitals to call off a set amount of shifts without penalty, but with TNAA, per diems are not affected.
