As a Regional Director of Purchasing, you will play a critical role in driving our company's success by leading the purchasing operations team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Regional Purchasing Team to achieve desired results and drive organizational value.
  • Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and procedures, including Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Coordinate the use and development of automated purchasing systems and other departmental systems.
  • Develop and implement cost-saving strategies through negotiations with trade partners.
  • Standardize purchasing processes across the region and coordinate with the national team.
  • Establish and implement new procedures as technology and needs change.
  • Work with local purchasing departments to enhance performance and service provided to divisions.
  • Communicate and implement regional and national purchasing programs.
  • Develop other divisions in the region to standardize contracting methods.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of starts and payment of invoices.
  • Review and negotiate with suppliers to reduce costs and improve quality.
  • Oversee the plan production, redline process, and spec change process for the region.

Qualifications

  • Computer literacy with experience working with AS-400 and Windows.
  • Strong understanding of residential construction and architectural design.
  • 5 years of residential construction/architectural experience preferred.
  • College degree or related experience.
  • Excellent writing and organizational skills.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and loyalty.
  • Ability to travel.
