Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at KCI Technologies, Inc. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering site development projects, ensuring successful completion within defined timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and prepare deliverables for site/civil development projects
  • Utilize strong organizational and scheduling skills to effectively track project progress and deliverables
  • Communicate and collaborate with solar clients, team members, and stakeholders to understand project requirements, scope, and objectives
  • Prepare and review engineering plans, drawings, and specifications for solar and EV development projects
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information and ensure project compliance with local regulations and standards
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams to obtain necessary permits, approvals, and clearances for project execution
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and feasibility studies
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in engineering techniques and technologies
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for future collaboration
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required
  • Strong proficiency in using Civil 3D AutoCAD software
  • Experience in designing stormwater management and erosion and sediment control
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in site civil engineering with solar preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey complex engineering concepts to diverse audiences
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with a demonstrated track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing engineering plans, reports, and documentation
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision
  • Familiarity with local regulations, permitting processes, and design standards in Maryland and Washington, DC
  • Knowledge of construction practices, materials, and methods
