Job Title: Surgical Coordinator

Quantum Pain and Orthopedics is a premier outpatient clinical network serving the San Antonio and Austin, TX areas. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Surgical Coordinator to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Surgical Coordinator is responsible for coordinating surgical procedures, ensuring accurate and timely communication with patients, providers, and staff. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate surgical procedures, including scheduling, verifying patient information, and communicating with providers and staff.
  • Ensure accurate and timely communication with patients, providers, and staff regarding scheduling changes, cancellations, and other important information.
  • Manage demanding workload, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Coordinate transportation for procedure patients, if needed.
  • Inform and provide patients with necessary information and instructions prior to surgery date.
  • Follow up on canceled or no-show patients.
  • Send prescriptions to pharmacy via fax or email.
  • Manage filing and record-keeping activities.
  • Update patients' information into database.
  • Scans and files into patient docs on eCW.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma; some college preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in a medical office setting.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and eCW.
  • Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette.

Work Week Schedule:

Monday/Thursday 8:00 AM- 6:00 PM.

Tuesday/Wednesday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.

Friday: 8:00 AM-3:00 PM.
