Network Systems Technician

We are seeking an experienced Network Systems Technician to join our team at Knife River Corp. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with technology and is passionate about delivering high-quality solutions.
Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for investigating and resolving computer and hardware problems of users, receiving calls from users having problems using computer software and hardware or inquiring how to use specific operating systems, talking to users to learn procedures followed and source of error, answering questions applying knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures, assisting with maintenance and support the company's technology infrastructure including computers, servers, phones, tablets, printers, etc., supporting user accounts including modification, addition or deletion, providing system security including file security, and software/hardware, ensuring printing environment is performing to user expectations, ensuring timeliness of hardware upgrades, maintenance, repairs and coordination of outside vendor repair, ensuring timeliness of software installation, upgrades, maintenance and licensing, maintaining IT inventory and order stock as needed and approved, monitoring system requirements and conduct preventative maintenance, monitoring equipment performance, document procedures and problems, coordinate with outside repair vendor or repair equipment and follow-up on hardware maintenance as needed, keep up software and hardware registration and inventory to provide upgrades as necessary and ensure appropriate security levels are maintained, assist in the process for WAN requirements and maintenance, ensure policies & procedures are maintained and followed, coordinate operations with Knife River IT department, assist North Central Regional companies with data & software support, communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations, troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.), monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors, ensure company safety, OSHA safety and environmental regulation compliance.
Requirements- A four-year degree from an accredited university or equivalent preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in computer repair.
- Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure and acceptable driving record.
- Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations & act courteous/respectful of others.
- Valid driver's license.
