**Location:** Ware County Schools, Georgia
**About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Educational Speech Therapist to join our team at Ware County Schools. As a key member of our Special Education department, you will play a vital role in providing speech and language services to students with varying needs.
About the Position:
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and developing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students requiring speech and language therapy. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and other community agencies to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed academically and personally.
Responsibilities:
- Assess student speech and language skills to identify areas of strength and weakness
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to meet the unique needs of each student
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to integrate speech and language therapy into the educational program
- Provide regular progress updates and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Georgia Certification in Speech Pathology (P-12, FLD 802)
- Previous experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a public education setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse groups
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as retirement plan and paid time off.
