Senior Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Weill Cornell Medicine. As a senior-level healthcare provider, you will work under the delegated authority of a supervising physician to provide advanced clinical services and coordinate direct care for patients within specialty areas.
Key Responsibilities- Perform advanced clinical services or other tasks delegated by the supervising physician, consistent with education, training, and practice protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Provide recommendations on improvements to workflows and patient care services.
- Assist with the orientation and training of new staff, providing education and training to NPs in the utilization of new equipment features and techniques.
- Collaborate with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients, providing monitoring and continuity of care between visits.
- Responsible for standard clinical care responsibilities that fall under the nurse practitioner role and scope of practice.
- Master's of Science Degree in Nursing
- Extensive nurse practitioner education, training, and experience in the specialty area(s) to be performed
- A minimum of five (5) years academic hospital-based experience
- Clinical leadership experience in an acute care setting with evidence of strong leadership potential
- Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
- A team-oriented individual that works collaboratively to achieve team goals
