Responsibilities- Provides professional nursing care to patients/clients within an assigned unit, diagnosing and treating responses to actual or potential health problems.
- Plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care utilizing the nursing process, formulating and implementing comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Collaborates with other members of the interdisciplinary team in the care of residents, including the resident, family, and/or significant other's.
- Transcribes physician's orders and administers medication/treatment as defined in all policies.
- Assumes charge nurse responsibilities as assigned, maintaining professional competence through participation in continuing education and other appropriate learning experiences.
- A valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
- Valid and current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).
