Job Title: Solution Architect

Falck is a global emergency medical services provider with operations in the US, including California, Oregon, and Colorado. We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to join our Falck Digital Technology (DT) team in California.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing and implementing comprehensive technical solutions that meet the needs of our organization. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and effective communication to ensure successful system solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop high-level architecture and design for solutions that align with business objectives and technical feasibility.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and platforms to meet project requirements.
  • Oversee the implementation of solutions, ensuring they meet the specified requirements and standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and perform efficiently.
  • Document the holistic picture of all systems and their inter/intra connections, ensuring a clear understanding of the overall architecture.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to evaluate the viability of proposed solutions.
  • Build business cases and drive them through the gating process to secure project approvals and funding.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. MBA a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in solution architecture or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in software development, database management, and networking.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
  • High attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in solution design and implementation.
  • Familiarity with modeling tools (UML, ERD), project management software (JIRA, Trello), database management systems (SQL, Oracle), programming languages (Java, Python, C#), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, Certified Solution Architect, or similar.
  • Experience in the healthcare or emergency response industry a plus.
