We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Nurse Professional to join our pediatric care team at the Nemours Foundation. In this role, you will have the opportunity to leverage your expertise in nursing leadership and practice to drive quality patient care and outcomes.

Job Summary

As a Lead Nurse Professional, you will be responsible for providing daily clinical and operational supervision to ensure the highest level of care is delivered to our patients. You will work closely with the nurse manager to plan, develop, and utilize human and material resources to meet departmental needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Systematically evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice
  • Provide daily clinical and operational supervision in partnership with the Nurse Manager
  • Demonstrate knowledge of current professional practice standards, laws, and regulations that affect the care of children and families
  • Contribute to the professional development of peers, colleagues, and other health care providers
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate the management of patient care
  • Contribute to nursing and pediatric healthcare through the application of evidence-based practice
  • Adhere to budgetary plans
  • Assist the Nurse Manager in providing a professional work environment
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Licensed Registered Nurse, DE & American Heart Association BLS required upon hire
  • Nursing specialty certification preferred
  • Minimum of three years experience in pediatric nursing
