About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at Virtual, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the security and integrity of our technology platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Security Administration: Perform comprehensive security administration on designated technology platforms, adhering to defined policies, standards, and procedures, as well as industry best practices and vendor guidelines.
  • Incident Response and Investigation: Oversee incident response and investigate security breaches, providing assistance with disciplinary and legal matters as necessary.
  • Access Control: Administer access to IT systems and applications, ensuring secure and authorized access.
  • Security Review: Review new system designs and major modifications for potential security implications prior to implementation.
  • Audit Planning: Develop audit plans for systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Risk Management: Manage risk programs and perform process analysis and documentation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Compliance: Collaborate with other teams to ensure compliance with the Information Security Policy and Federal Regulations.
  • Documentation: Author Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training documentation, maintaining accurate and up-to-date security documentation.
  • Collaboration: Conduct collaborative meetings between applications, networking, server, database, and application teams to address metrics, system controls, and process improvements.
  • Reporting: Create reports that identify gaps and remediation recommendations, facilitating informed decision-making.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Work Experience: Bachelor's degree in IT or similar field with 5 years of work-related experience, or 9 years in lieu of a degree.
  • Skills: Proficiency in problem-solving, analytical thinking, and penetration testing methodologies.
  • Technical Expertise: Familiarity with LINUX/UNIX OS, routers/switches/firewalls, Windows PC platforms, NAS platforms, Firewall, Intrusion Detection devices, endpoint security software, network/sever security vulnerability and protection.
  • Familiarization: Familiarization with Information Security Policy and security-related Federal Regulations.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
