Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented In Vivo Research Assistant to join our team at the START Center for Cancer Research. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data from industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies, as well as performing day-to-day procedures related to small animal handling, husbandry, surgery, and drug preparation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and store data from small animal studies, including body weights and tumor dimensions.
  • Perform procedures such as small animal handling, husbandry, surgery, anesthesia, cell culture, blood and tissue collection and processing, tumor implantation, cell injection, euthanasia, and sample processing.
  • Prepare and store laboratory solutions, including vehicles, drugs, media, and other reagents.
  • Administer agents by various routes and dosing schedules.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Knowledge and training in animal handling and research preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
