About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Teacher's Aide at Happiness House CP Rochester. As a key member of our educational team, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being, education, and supervision of children in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist the classroom teacher in all children's activities throughout the day, including instructional and non-instructional duties.
  2. Supervise children at all times, including during busing and transitional activities.
  3. Assist in physical care tasks and health-related activities as appropriate.
  4. Support children with behavioral/management needs.
  5. Function as a positive, contributing member of the classroom team.
  6. Attend appropriate meetings as determined by the classroom teacher and Program Director.
  7. Maintain classroom cleanliness and the orderly appearance of classroom equipment, supplies, and displays of children's work.
  8. Assist in the preparation of children's snacks.
  9. Share all relevant information related to classroom children obtained from various sources with the classroom teacher.
  10. Perform classroom duties as assigned by the classroom teacher.
  11. Actively participate in bus arrival and dismissal.
  12. Adhere to Agency's policies and procedures as well as department guidelines.
  13. Participate in conferences, workshops, and in-service training to enhance job skills and personal growth and development.
  14. Perform other duties at the discretion of the Program Director or his/her designee.

Requirements
  1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent OR 1 year of experience working with children.
  2. Experience with young children preferred.
  3. Must be at least 18 years of age.
