About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Business Development Director to lead our sales efforts in the automotive sector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building strategic partnerships, and expanding our market presence.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in business development, with a strong understanding of the automotive industry and its dynamics. You will possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders at all levels.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and growing organization, with a competitive salary package of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate can expect to work around 50-75% of their time locally and nationally, with occasional travel required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market share
  • Bid on and win new business opportunities, leveraging your extensive network and industry knowledge
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and partners
  • Maintain accurate records and data using Salesforce or other CRM systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects and meet business objectives
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in business development and sales, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Proven track record of success in business development, with a strong understanding of the industry and its dynamics
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with relevant certifications or training preferred
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
