Endoscopy Technician

About the Role:
As an Endoscopy Technician at Salem Health Hospitals and Clinics, you will play a vital part in ensuring patient safety and efficient operations within the Endoscopy department. Your strong communication skills will enable you to accurately document patient information and coordinate with various services, adapting your approach to meet individual needs. Your attention to safety is paramount, as you perform equipment checks, assist with patient transport, and adhere to infection prevention protocols. You will support the care team by setting up procedure rooms, assisting physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and anticipating instrument needs. With a focus on quality and continuous improvement, you will contribute to a safe, organized environment and enhance the overall patient experience through your dedication and skills.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. One year of hospital or ASC medical procedural experience is preferred in Endoscopy Technician or comparable role. You must have working knowledge of aseptic technique, BLS certification, and the ability to take call shifts as assigned. You must also be flexible for scheduling and complete and pass the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates Program within 6 months of hire.
