We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Nurse Specialist to join our team at Sky Lakes Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and lead by example in delivering exceptional nursing services.

Job Summary:

The Pediatric Nurse Specialist is responsible for maintaining overall responsibility for patient care on assigned units and delegating tasks to team members within respective practice parameters. This includes evaluating, correcting, directing, and redirecting care as needed, while identifying and communicating unit staffing needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patient care needs and develop individualized plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Supervise and direct non-RN employees in providing quality patient care, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Gather and document relevant information to inform patient care decisions, set realistic goals, and evaluate progress.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate seamless patient care and address concerns or issues promptly.
  • Maintain awareness of legal aspects of nursing and ensure documentation aligns with professional scope of practice.
  • Contribute to cost containment efforts by optimizing resource utilization and promoting efficient supply management.
Requirements:
  • RN licensure and current certification in Pediatrics or related specialty.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in pediatric nursing, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and mentor colleagues.
  • Able to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends, with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
Compensation:
