Job Summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking a skilled Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in protecting the people, property, and values of our company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Observe, detect, deter, and report security-related incidents that pose potential risks and threats to company assets.
  • Provide alarm monitoring, emergency response support, incident notifications, physical patrols, and other security-related services.
  • Communicate directly with Corning employees as a primary first-contact/first-report for all questions and concerns pertaining to security.
  • Provide documentation and notification of daily activity and incidents.

Requirements

  • High School diploma / GED and two or more years of experience in a professional setting.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain a valid state security guard license with the support of Corning Incorporated (if applicable).
  • Ability to obtain CPR and basic First Aid certifications with the support of Corning Incorporated.
  • Ability to work as a part of a team in a professional setting.
  • Aptitude for clear and effective verbal and written communication under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Ability to work with various computer programs based on provided training.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates degree, or;
  • Experience in security or a related field.
