At The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, we are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Nutrition Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our nutrition services team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments of patients to identify their nutritional needs and develop personalized care plans.
- Collaborate with registered dietitians and other healthcare professionals to implement and monitor nutritional interventions.
- Provide education and support to patients and families on nutrition and lactation, including breast pump assembly and maintenance, special diet education, and formula/modified human milk education.
- Assist with enteral feeding production, including preparing, portioning, and delivering patient orders accurately and timely.
- Participate in ongoing quality assurance and performance improvement activities to ensure the highest level of care.
- Associate's degree in Nutrition or a related field.
- Dietetic Technician-Registered (DTR) certification within 9 months.
- Basic knowledge of medical nutrition therapy, nutrient analysis, and word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
