About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our team on a part-time weekend shift basis. As a vital member of our staff, you will provide critical support to individuals struggling with substance use disorders, promoting their recovery and well-being.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, educate clients and their families about substance use treatment, symptom management, and wellness. They will also observe client responses to treatment, communicate changes to the treatment team, and facilitate group activities focused on mental health or substance use needs. Additionally, they will ensure client safety, manage behaviors, and implement positive interventions.

- Effective interpersonal skills, enabling the ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups.
- Able to exercise discretion and professional judgment, maintaining confidentiality when necessary.
