Job Summary

We are seeking a part-time Residential Assistant for Leland House in Northeast Washington DC. This role provides monitoring and oversight of residential/transitional housing facilities and residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform room checks and hourly house walk-throughs
  • Ensure house chores are completed
  • Assist residents in preparing meals, as needed
  • Monitor resident compliance with rules and regulations
  • Provide documentation and maintain communication logs
  • Respond to crisis situations or medical emergencies and report to management and on-call staff
  • Monitor resident self-medication during shift
  • Provide supervision of the facility and residents during assigned shift; maintain safety and security of the facility
  • Provide assistance to residents with daily living activities
Requirements
  • HS Degree/GED
  • 1-3 years of experience in social services
  • Experience providing services in addictions or mental health treatment
  • CPR/First Aid; AED; Food Handler's License; Crisis Intervention (Training); Driver's License
Working Conditions

This position is designated as Safety Sensitive. You may be subject to drug testing prior to or during your employment with SOME.
