Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Procedure Room Registered Nurse to join our team at East Portland Surgery Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in the Procedure Room, working closely with physicians to deliver successful procedures and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage procedure rooms to ensure they are prepped and ready for patients, including room turnovers, stocking supplies, and cleaning.
  • Administer medication as ordered by physicians, following our Moderate Sedation policy.
  • Safely monitor and document patient care during Moderate Sedation, adhering to policy and procedure guidelines.
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation on medical records at all times.
  • Support and assist physicians with patient care throughout procedures.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs in the procedure or endoscopy suite.
  • Maintain proper care and handling of specimens.
  • Recognize emergency situations and assist in corrective action, including ACLS protocol.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of established policies, procedures, and objectives.

Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (associates or bachelor's degree).
  • Minimum of two years previous Procedure Room experience desired.
  • Ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years total RN experience.
  • Experience in basic and advanced procedures and IV sedation experience preferred.
  • Current Oregon License as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current BLS & ACLS required.
  • Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees.
