Job Overview

The Textile Company is seeking an experienced Apprentice Equipment Technician to join our maintenance team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all equipment and buildings.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year

Responsibilities

We are looking for a skilled individual who can maintain all machinery in like-new condition, evaluate requests for repairs, and schedule work according to urgency and availability.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining buildings and grounds by inspecting and noting defects and scheduling repairs or improvements
  • Supervising or starting and stopping boiler, pump, air compressor, and electric motors
  • Keeping appropriate inventory of necessary parts and tools
  • Preventative Maintenance Pillar Owner
  • Coordinating security of buildings
  • Recording and monitoring utility usage
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Mechanical and electrical skills, especially the ability to troubleshoot
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Special attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
Qualifications

You will require:

  • High School Diploma
  • Vocational School Certificate, or equivalent experience
  • Ohio Boiler Operator License desired
  • Computer literacy
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Boilers/Steam Systems, High Voltage Electrical Troubleshooting, Low Voltage Electrical Troubleshooting, Conveyors and other Chain Driven mechanisms, Water Pumps, Plumbing/Pipefitting, Hydraulic Systems, Welding, and CMMS System (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
Work Environment

This role involves working inside and outside in extreme heat and cold temperatures. You will also be required to climb stairs, bend, stand, walk, stoop, crouch, and work in such positions every day.
