Confluent is seeking a Senior Revenue Accounting Manager to lead our revenue recognition and order-to-cash process. As a key member of our Accounting team, you will ensure financial accuracy and compliance while driving process improvements and system implementations.

This role requires a strong understanding of US GAAP, particularly revenue recognition (ASC 606), and experience with system enhancement projects. You will work closely with our Sales Ops, Technical Revenue, and Cloud Product Management teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition and related accounting.

Key responsibilities include managing the US global revenue close and reporting process, proposing process improvements, and leading the company's quarterly revenue forecasting process. You will also analyze new product and service strategies for their accounting results and develop methods of automating the accounting for those sales.

As a people manager, you will mentor and train the US Revenue Accounting Team and Shared Services Revenue Accounting team to ensure they work as one unit for monthly closes and reporting. You will also manage Revenue SOX compliance and ensure SOX requirements are met for relevant areas.

Requirements include a BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, CPA certification, and 6+ years of progressively responsible experience at a Big 4 public accounting firm or a global, publicly traded high-tech organization with a minimum of 4 years in revenue roles. Experience with Netsuite and Netsuite ARM is preferred, but not required.
