Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Marion County. As a key member of our Behavioral Health Services department, you will provide assessment, treatment, and crisis intervention services to individuals and families in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide intensive case coordination, including triage, crisis intervention, and referral to jail psychiatric prescriber as appropriate.
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans in consultation with jail/medical staff, probation and parole officers, and other community agencies.
  • Facilitate connection with community mental health providers and refer clients to appropriate services.
  • Collaborate with family members and significant others as needed.
  • Participate in court and team meetings as indicated.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • One year of postgraduate degree experience in the behavioral health field.
  • Must be licensed by the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors, licensed by the Oregon Board of Licensed Social Workers, or credentialed or registered through the Mental Health and Addiction Counseling Board of Oregon as a Qualified Mental Health Professional.
  • Must obtain C A M S certification within 6 months of hire.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, eligible for overtime. The typical work schedule is Sunday - Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m., with flexibility depending on the needs of the department and program.

Benefits

Marion County offers a generous benefits package to regular employees working 50% or more of the regularly scheduled work week and their eligible dependents. Temporary employees and part-time regular employees working less than 50% of the regularly scheduled work week are not eligible for benefits.
