Principal Software Engineer (Quant, Fintech) Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer (Quant, Fintech) to join our team at KForce. As a key member of our quantitative software engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing sophisticated analytical models and tools to empower researchers and investment decision makers.

In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse team of quantitative software engineers, researchers, and investment professionals on high-visibility projects. You will have the opportunity to create best-in-class technical solutions, involving requirements gathering, design, productization, implementation, and optimization.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop software for quantitative investment workflows in areas such as equities, fixed income, derivative instruments, and risk management.
  • Design and implement production-quality code in financial technology or financial services domain.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design, and implement technical solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in quantitative finance and software engineering.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Math, Financial Engineering, or related subject.
  • 7+ years of related software development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of applied mathematics, statistical models, and advanced finance concepts.
  • Proficient in Python, Java, C++, or related programming language.
