Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Professional to join our team as an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM). As an ISSM, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and authorization of our clients' information systems, following National-level Security Policies, including ICD 503, NIST SP-800 Series, and CNSS Instruction 1253.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert: Provide guidance on National-level Security Policies, including ICD 503, NIST SP-800 Series, and CNSS Instruction 1253.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Interact with system stakeholders, including Senior Management and the Authorizing Official, to ensure all security policies, standards, and methodologies are followed.
  • Security Authorization: Ensure that ISSOs and stakeholders obtain and/or maintain security authorizations for information systems by adhering to all security policies, standards, and methodologies.
  • Operational Security Posture: Provide support to customers in maintaining the appropriate operational security posture for assigned systems, programs, and/or enclaves.
  • Guidance and Technical Expertise: Offer technical expertise on matters impacting or affecting information system security.
  • Continuous Monitoring Program: Assist in developing and executing an enterprise-level continuous monitoring program to minimize security risks and ensure compliance.
  • System Security Plan: Guide the development, update, and submission of the System Security Plan and other required documentation that make up the Security Authorization Package.
  • Configuration Management: Conduct configuration management for security-relevant changes to software, hardware, and firmware.
  • Change Management: Manage and control changes to the system, assessing the effectiveness of system security controls on an ongoing basis to determine system security status.
  • Security Impact Analysis: Perform and deliver security impact analyses of changes to the system or its environment of operation.
  • IT Security Policies: Maintain and enforce IT security policies and implementation guidelines for customer systems in diverse operational environments.

Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI w/polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Engineering, or related field
  • DoD 8570.1 compliant IAM Level I certification
  • In-depth knowledge of security authorization processes and procedures
  • Experience with hardware/software security implementations
  • Knowledge of communication protocols, encryption techniques/tools, and PKI and authorization services
  • Familiarity with security incident management and collaboration with Incident Response Teams
  • Experience creating and presenting documentation and management reports
  • Well-organized with ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadline requirements

  • Experience working with XACTA IA Manager
  • Highly analytical with ability to troubleshoot and prioritize needs, requirements, and issues
  • Commitment to continuous learning and system development due to evolving cyber threats
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts, data formats, and software
  • Self-motivated, independent, detail-oriented, responsible team player with exceptional relationship management skills

About Compensation

The estimated salary range for this position is $175,000 - $215,000 per annum, based on factors such as location, education, experience, and contract-specific affordability. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position and is part of the company's total compensation package.
