Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Health First Medical Group. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and promoting a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality/No Harm:
- Administer medications to patients in a safe and effective manner.
- Delegate and supervise patient care activities within the healthcare setting.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to promote effective team functioning.
- Utilize Health First computer systems for order entry, order inquiry, and patient care documentation.
- Practice safe and effective clinical care.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary plans of care based on current evidence-based practice.
- Document all nursing care, changes in condition, responses to therapy, treatments, procedures, and referrals on patient records.
- Stewardship:
- Use and care for equipment and supplies economically.
- Customer Experience:
- Provide patient, family, and/or caregiver education as directed by the plan of care.
- Provide service to patients and families with sensitivity and respect for their needs, expectations, age, cultural, and individual differences.
- Contribute to the patient experience by promoting positive patient satisfaction scores and HCAHPs scores.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required.
- Licensure:
- Current Florida RN licensure or endorsement.
- Certification:
- AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card required.
- Certification(s) as required by specific unit.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year acute care experience required.
- Must meet unit-specific care requirements.
- Language:
- Must be able to speak and understand written and verbal instructions in English.
Physical Demands:
- Must have visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform clinical tasks.
- Must have corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Must be able to lift, turn, pull, push, or ambulate patients/equipment up to 90% of the assigned shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted up to 33% of the assigned shift.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop up to 90% of the assigned shift.
- Potential for exposure to bio-hazardous waste and known or unknown diseases.
