About the Position:

This is a part-time position with a competitive salary scale ranging from $ **$45,000 - $65,000 per year**, depending on qualifications and experience. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the varsity girls' basketball team, developing game plans, and motivating players to achieve their best performance.

The ideal candidate will have experience in basketball coaching, preferably at the high school or college level. A teaching license or classified employee status in Loudoun County Public Schools is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the varsity girls' basketball team and develop game plans to ensure success.
• Develop and implement practice sessions to improve player skills and teamwork.
• Motivate players to achieve their best performance and maintain a positive team culture.
• Work closely with assistant coaches to ensure a well-structured program.
• Foster good sportsmanship and a winning attitude among players and spectators.
• Recommend equipment and supplies needed for the implementation of the sports program.
• Perform other duties as requested by the high school principal and/or athletic director.

Qualifications:

• Coaching experience at the high school or college level.
• CPR and First Aid training or current enrollment in a course.
• Experience as a teacher or classified employee in Loudoun County Public Schools is preferred.
