Job Summary
Fred Finch Youth Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to fill the role of Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) Worker. In this position, you will provide individualized 1:1 behavioral and therapeutic interventions to participants in their home environment, school, or other setting, with the goal of stabilization. Your work will be an adjunct to specialty mental health services, aiming to prevent higher levels of care or facilitate a transition to a lower level of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized 1:1 behavioral and therapeutic interventions to participants in their home environment, school, or other setting.
- Collaborate with participants, families, and community resources to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential risks.
- Utilize de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed care models to support participants in crisis.
- Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive records of participant progress and services provided.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least one year of experience working with youth. You should also have knowledge of designing, supervising, monitoring, changing, and discontinuing individualized behavioral interventions. Additionally, you must be able to assess, triage, and organize work, demonstrate knowledge of the developmental stages of youth and young adults, and possess a clean driving record. Fluency in the prevailing language(s) of the community is also desirable.
