Talent Acquisition and Human Resources Generalist

At the Cancer Center of Kansas, we are seeking a skilled Talent Acquisition and Human Resources Generalist to join our team. This role offers a competitive salary of $85,000 - $95,000 per year.
Job SummaryThe Talent Acquisition and Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for managing recruiting processes, including advertising, sourcing, interviews, candidate selection, and offer processes. This individual will also provide consultation on human resource management issues, including staffing, employee relations, sexual harassment, performance management, and compliance with applicable state and federal laws.
Key Responsibilities- Recruiting: Collaborate with hiring managers to determine job requirements, interview teams, timelines, and potential compensation. Update requisition logs to ensure compliance with federal and state recruiting regulations.
- Sourcing: Prepare job posting materials and draft advertisements to attract qualified candidates. Screen resumes against minimum qualifications and conduct telephone screening to assess knowledge, skills, abilities, and salary requirements.
- Scheduling Interviews: Arrange candidate interviews with hiring managers and interview teams. Provide guidance on appropriate interview questions and arrange mock interviews to build managers' interview skills.
- Candidate Selection: Summarize feedback for hiring managers and consult on candidate selection and compensation packages. Perform reference checks and extend verbal job offers to selected candidates.
- Generalist Responsibilities: Provide consultation on human resource management issues, including staffing, employee relations, sexual harassment, performance management, and compliance with applicable state and federal laws.
- Investigating Employee Relations Issues: Identify issues, facts, policy violations, and cultural impacts on the workplace. Recommend solutions and facilitate resolution. May involve HR technical experts to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Supporting Management: Write effective job descriptions, handle requisition processes and approvals, and administer salary administration. Conduct exit interviews, summarize findings, and write executive overviews.
- Employee Engagement: Conduct surveys, summarize findings, and facilitate follow-up and action items meetings. Perform workforce analysis and recommendations on various HR issues.
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. A minimum of three years of Generalist experience and multiple years of Recruiting experience are required. PHR or SPHR certification is preferred. You should have solid knowledge of employment law, policies, and practices, as well as benefits, leave of absences, compensation principles, and recruiting practices.
