Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Dental Patient Access Specialist to join our team at Metro Community Health Center. As a key member of our front office staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring that patients receive exceptional care and service from the moment they walk in the door.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting patients, checking them in, and preparing them for their appointments. This includes managing patient records, verifying insurance information, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients promptly and professionally, providing a positive first impression
  • Check patients in accurately and efficiently, ensuring all necessary information is collected and recorded
  • Manage patient records, including updating demographics, medical history, and treatment plans
  • Verify insurance information and ensure that all necessary authorizations are obtained
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, adhering to HIPAA regulations
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient concerns and resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists to schedule appointments and coordinate patient care
  • Ensure that the front desk area is clean and organized, maintaining a professional appearance
  • Perform other administrative duties as required, such as answering phones and responding to emails

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills and experience with electronic medical records systems
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and procedure codes

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position, requiring flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of our patients and staff. You will be working in a fast-paced clinical environment, interacting with patients, staff, and external vendors.

Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
