Site Safety Manager

Job Summary:
The Site Safety Manager is responsible for promoting and enforcing the corporate Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) program and providing safety support to construction operations. This role requires collaboration with field operations to ensure a safe work environment for team members while using independent judgment to resolve safety-related issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Comply with and enforce corporate safety policies and procedures, with a focus on the number one core value - Safety first in all we do.
- Assist the HSE Department in managing the overall corporate safety program, including accident/incident reporting, audits, and safety activities.
- Perform regular field safety inspections, accident/incident investigations, and safety audits on active construction projects.
- Prepare daily and weekly reports on safety activities.
- Conduct safety orientations and training in small and large group environments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a safety-related field is strongly preferred.
- 3-7 years of field safety experience in heavy civil construction, transportation, or a related field.
- Knowledge of general construction safety and health regulations, including OSHA.
- Certified Health & Safety Technician (CHST) certificate or equivalent is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) is preferred.
- OSHA Authorized Construction Trainer.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, including Office 365 productivity suite.
