Medical Emergency Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Medical Emergency Technician to join our team at International SOS Government Medical Services. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, the ability to work in high-pressure environments, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer first aid and medical assistance within the EMT scope of practice.
  • Respond promptly to emergency calls and assess the nature and extent of patients' conditions.
  • Assess and document patients' vital signs, chief complaints, medical histories, and prescribed medications.
  • Maintain inventory by checking stock and determining sufficient levels; anticipating needed supplies.
  • Cross-train to work within clinics, emergency rooms, and inpatient units.
Qualifications:
  • U.S. state-licensed EMTs with National Registry or current unrestricted licenses.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced trauma course (PHTLS, ITLS, TCCC, etc.) completion.
  • Ability to work in high-stress environments and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Experience working on military sites as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred.
