Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team at St. David's Medical Center, a 300+ bed full-service hospital located in central Austin, Texas.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the emergency department, assessing patients upon admission, and implementing comprehensive nursing care plans.

  • The ideal candidate will have at least one year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, preferably with experience as a Patient Care Technician in an acute care setting or capstone rotation in St. David's Healthcare facilities.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is preferred, but an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program or current enrollment in an Alternate Entry Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) program will also be considered.

The selected candidate must possess a Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License, with a Texas license obtained within 90 days of hire if applicable. Additionally, they must hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David's Healthcare policy and obtain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification within six months.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $83,000 - $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
