About the Role:

We are seeking a talented HR Generalist to join our dynamic team at NCMS – National Center for Manufacturing Sciences. As a hybrid role, you will split your time between working in our Ann Arbor, Michigan office and remotely.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the entire recruitment process, including job postings, screenings, assessments, interviews, and hiring, for both on-site and remote roles. You will collaborate with hiring managers to identify essential skills and qualifications for open roles and actively seek out high-caliber candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, interview, and hire top talent for various positions within the organization
  • Develop and maintain accurate job descriptions, ensuring alignment with department and company objectives
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, staying current with evolving regulations and recommended practices
  • Assist in the development and delivery of company-wide training programs, including onboarding, skills development, and leadership training for managers
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records, supporting organizational data integrity and compliance
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, benefits, policies, and procedures

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3-5 years prior HR Generalist experience
  • Outstanding verbal and written skills
  • Strong attention to detail and proven problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
  • Customer service focus with both external and internal customers
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay Range:

$70,000 - $90,000 per annum, based on experience
