Job Summary:

As a licensed mental health therapist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive mental health services to adult and child members. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for members with a range of mental health needs. Your expertise will be essential in delivering high-quality care and promoting positive outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for members, incorporating evidence-based practices and psychotherapy techniques.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify members' mental health needs and develop effective treatment strategies.
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions, as well as crisis intervention services as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination.
  • Participate in staff conferences and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
  • Document member progress and treatment plans in accordance with regulatory requirements and Kaiser Permanente's standards.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Knowledge of DSM-V and ability to apply diagnostic criteria in a clinical setting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working in a psychiatric treatment team or outpatient setting.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and psychotherapy research methods.
  • Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
