Job Summary

The Army National Guard is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Specialist to join our team. As an HR Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the readiness, health, and welfare of all Soldiers. Your primary responsibilities will include organizing and maintaining personnel records, providing data entry and retrieval support, and processing recommendations. You will also be responsible for arranging awards ceremonies, preparing and updating requests for evaluations, and maintaining filing systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with all human resource support matters

• Oversee strength management and strength distribution actions

• Ensure the readiness, health, and welfare of all Soldiers

• Provide postal and personnel accountability support

• Maintain emergency notification data

Requirements

• Aptitude for business administration

• Ability to follow detailed orders

• Strong people skills

What You'll Learn

As an HR Specialist in the Army National Guard, you will learn valuable job skills while earning a regular paycheck and qualifying for tuition assistance. Your training will include 10 weeks of Basic Training and 9 weeks of Advanced Individual Training and on-the-job instruction. You will learn basic typing skills, how to prepare Army correspondence and forms, how to manage personnel records, and computer update and retrieval procedures.
