Occupational Therapist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Life Care Center of Lewiston, Idaho. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide direct rehab care to patients in occupational therapy, working in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, focusing on activities of daily living.
  • Establish, assess, and modify realistic, measurable, timely, and functional goals for patients.
  • Oversee and evaluate care given by OTAs, Rehab Aides, and students.
  • Chart patient progress accurately and timely.
  • Utilize therapy software effectively and accurately.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards patients.
  • Assist in the evacuation of patients as needed.
Requirements
  • NBCOT certification upon hire, with optional renewal.
  • Graduate of an accredited program in occupational therapy (BSOT or MSOT).
  • Current registration/licensure in the applicable state, with a commitment to maintaining an active license in good standing.
  • One year of experience in post-acute care or a related setting, with a preference for candidates with a strong background in rehabilitation therapy.
  • CPR certification upon hire or during orientation, with a commitment to maintaining current certification.
