Veterinary Receptionist

The Veterinary Receptionist is a key member of our team, providing exceptional client service and support to our veterinarians, technicians, and other staff. This role requires a friendly and professional demeanor, with excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Greets clients and pets by name, providing a positive and solution-oriented attitude.
• Answers phones promptly and professionally, using a multi-line phone system to answer client inquiries and provide knowledgeable advice.
• Schedules appointments and surgeries, making confirmation calls and noting details in medical records.
• Collects payment, explains invoices, and verifies client eligibility for charge accounts.
• Fills prescriptions, provides routine administration instructions, and advises clients on retail items.

• Demonstrated commitment to our core values.
• Computer knowledge, including keyboarding and use of communication tools.
• Working knowledge of veterinary terminology.
• Excellent spelling and grammar.
• Ability to handle varied and sometimes difficult conditions, with tact and respect for clients and team members.
