Job Overview

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking skilled and compassionate home healthcare nurses to join our team. As a Private Duty Nurse LVN, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

About the Role

We offer flexible scheduling options to accommodate your needs, including full-time, part-time, and PRN positions. Our caregivers enjoy a 1:1 nurse-to-medically-fragile-patient ratio, providing personalized care and attention to each patient.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Implement physicians' prescribed plans of care, ensuring seamless transitions between healthcare settings
  • Patient assessments and coordination of care to meet individualized needs
  • Administration of prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies in a safe and effective manner
  • Timely and compliant documentation of care provided in our electronic system of record
  • Health promotion, teaching, and training of family members to empower them with knowledge and confidence
  • Responsible for accepting and writing verbal orders from physicians as required, with co-signature from Case Manager on all verbal orders
Qualifications
  • Active, unencumbered RN/LPN/LVN license in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification from American Red Cross or equivalent
  • TB skin test (current within last 12 months)
  • Six months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred but not required
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to patient locations
