About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Healthcare Professional to join our team at Carolina Health Centers, Inc. As a key member of our pediatric care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Active participation as a patient care team member, identifying patient needs and reporting to providers.
  • Conducting pre-visit planning, reviewing patient charts, and collecting additional information to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Preparing patients for examination and treatment, assessing vital signs, and conducting lab procedures to maintain accurate records.
  • Assisting providers with examinations and diagnostic procedures, administering non-intravenous injections as ordered.
  • Initiating and monitoring intravenous fluids, maintaining patient documentation, and assisting with care management.
  • Maintaining patient rooms and treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  • Ordering and managing medications, working with pharmacy protocols, and responding to patient communications.
  • Participating in professional development activities, adhering to HIPAA regulations, and updating clinical skills to remain current.
  • Treating patients, families, and staff with dignity and respect, performing other related work as required.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program of practical nurse education, considering Registered Nurse as identified by company needs.
  • Licensed by South Carolina and in good standing as a LPN/RN, BCLS certification.
  • Experience preferred but will train new graduates.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Able to read, write, and communicate effectively, calculate medication dosages correctly.
  • Proficient in using a computer and keyboard, able to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and ability to maintain confidentiality, able to manage self and environment calmly in stressful situations.
  • Clinical skills include taking vital signs, patient assessments, injections, and documentation.
  • Physical abilities include standing for extended periods, pushing, pulling, reaching, sitting, stooping, and stretching.
