About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Critical Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Surgery department. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a talented group of healthcare professionals.
Job SummaryThe Critical Care Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients in the surgery department. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate plans of care utilizing the nursing process, clinical skills, and patient education
- Maintain professional behavior when dealing with issues or conflicts, utilizing appropriate resources as needed
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, visitors, and employees
- Assess risks to patient safety and implement appropriate precautions
- Comply with safety and injury prevention standards to minimize risk to self, co-workers, patients, and visitors
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
- Current state nursing license or permit to practice nursing in the State of Texas
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire or within 30 days of start date and maintain certification throughout employment
- ACLS within 3 months of hire and maintain certification throughout employment
- PALS within 3 months of hire and maintain certification throughout employment
- De-escalation training within 90 days of hire; does not require maintaining
We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience, plus comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug plans. Additionally, we provide generous paid time off, 401(k) with company match, and discounted stock plan.
