Sleeping Dog Properties is a Boston-based design-build company that specializes in delivering exceptional quality residential construction experiences. Our goal is to be recognized as the leading provider of luxury residential construction services in Boston and New England.

We are seeking an experienced Residential Construction Project Manager to oversee our large client portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing high-end residential construction projects and ensuring timely completion within budget.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and supervising residential construction projects from start to finish. This includes collaborating with engineers and architects, negotiating contracts with vendors, obtaining necessary permits, and determining resource requirements. The candidate will also be responsible for supervising laborers and mechanics, evaluating progress, and preparing detailed reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineers and architects to determine project specifications
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors to ensure profitable agreements
  • Obtain necessary permits and licenses from authorities
  • Determine resource requirements, including manpower, equipment, and materials
  • Plan and schedule construction operations to ensure timely completion
  • Acquire equipment and materials, and monitor stock levels
  • Hire contractors and allocate responsibilities
  • Supervise laborers and mechanics, and provide guidance as needed
  • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a construction project manager
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and project management principles
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Familiarity with construction/project management software, with Procore proficiency a plus
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • A team player with leadership abilities
