Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse I to join our team at OrthoLoneStar PLLC. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide exceptional support services to ensure the efficient operation of our offices and clinical environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting doctors and patients through various tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. This will include interviewing patients and documenting basic medical history, organizing and scheduling appointments, updating and filing medical records and insurance reports, and assisting during medical examinations.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient interviews and document medical history in accordance with established protocols
  • Organize and schedule appointments efficiently, ensuring minimal delays
  • Update and file medical records and insurance reports accurately and timely
  • Assist doctors during medical examinations, providing necessary support as required
  • Scan and index medical documents into patient charts, maintaining confidentiality and security
  • Prepare and clean treatment rooms to maintain a sterile and safe environment
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Proven working experience as a medical assistant, preferably in an orthopedic setting
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records software and procedures, including MS Office and patient management systems
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, coworkers, and healthcare professionals
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs., with regular mobility throughout the workday
What We Offer

$65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience
