Job SummaryWe're seeking a Coatings Operations Specialist who can lead our paint finishing systems and ensure they operate at optimal levels. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Supervising and directing daily operations of paint finishing equipment
- Coordinating preventative maintenance programs and emergency repairs with maintenance and outside vendors
- Monitoring operating parameters of pretreatment and paint systems
- Troubleshooting processes to maintain uptime and minimize quality deviations
In addition to these key responsibilities, you'll also be involved in:
- Developing and maintaining paint production tooling
- Maintaining accurate MSDS inventory sheets
- Working closely with production, engineering, and maintenance departments
- Assisting in filing reports with regulatory agencies
To succeed in this role, you'll need to have:
- A strong background in manufacturing systems, equipment, processes, and tooling
- Experience in paint finishing technology, with a focus on coating operations
- Familiarity with basic chemical theory and computer skills
- Good supervisory and budgeting skills
