Job Summary

Penn State Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Per Diem Pharmacist to join our team. As a Per Diem Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our pharmacy department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists with day-to-day duties and responsibilities, including learning and performing technical aspects of pharmacy practice.
  • Learn to function at the level of a staff pharmacist by learning and performing duties of the position and attaining competency to apply pharmacotherapy knowledge to the patient care setting.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of pharmacy operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care and support.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy and holds or is eligible for a Pennsylvania Pharmacy Intern License.
  • Student in the first two years of college and has been accepted into an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Must exhibit good verbal and written communication skills, enthusiasm for the profession of pharmacy, and compassion for patients.
  • Must be able to physically perform functions such as lifting and transporting cartons and medications, telephone communication, computer order/data entry, and preparation of intravenous and extemporaneous compounding.
