Job Description:

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced Strategic Sales Director to lead our sales team in driving growth, expanding customer relationships, and increasing bookings across our HVAC and Security lines of business.


About the Role:

This senior leadership position will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, coaching and mentoring a high-performing sales team, and collaborating with other sales leaders to leverage best practices. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing high-volume sales teams, creating solutions to meet customer needs, and delivering results against deadlines.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute sales strategies that drive growth and expand customer relationships.
  • Sales Team Management: Lead and manage a high-performing sales team, providing coaching, mentoring, and training to ensure employee success.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, identifying opportunities to expand their businesses and increase bookings.
  • Pricing and Contract Negotiation: Partner with sales representatives to negotiate contracts and develop pricing strategies that meet customer needs and drive revenue growth.
  • Business Planning: Develop and execute business plans that align with company objectives, including sales staffing, market assignments, and strategic customer development.

Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Five or more years in a leadership role, with minimum twelve (12) years of sales experience, including five (5) years of field sales management experience in a business-to-business environment.

Estimated Salary:

$120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
